Junior Engineer examinations test a limited set of Civil Engineering concepts asked in a large number of disguises. Super40 Amravati's JE classes are built to make those concepts automatic — so that unfamiliar question wording never becomes an unfamiliar question.
JE preparation at Super40 Amravati
The course runs for one year with 3–6 hours of daily classes. Technical subjects come first and stay in continuous revision; factual subjects are compressed into the second half and revised on a short cycle. Weekly tests run from the first month, and full-length papers dominate the final phase.
Civil Engineering subjects for the JE exam
- Strength of Materials — stress, strain, bending, shear, torsion, columns
- Structural Analysis — determinate and indeterminate structures
- Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering — consolidation, shear strength, bearing capacity
- Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulics — pipe and open-channel flow, pumps
- Surveying — levelling, theodolite, curves
- Transportation, Environmental Engineering, Building Materials, Estimating and Costing
Technical preparation method
Concepts are derived, not dictated. Each student maintains a formula register per subject and an error log across tests. Numerical speed is built through a daily quota of problems solved without looking at solutions first — the habit that separates a comfortable paper from a rushed one.
Exam strategy
Under negative marking, attempt strategy is a skill of its own. Students practise a two-pass approach in every mock: first pass for certainties, second pass for questions where options can be credibly eliminated, and a disciplined skip for the rest. Our JE mock test and revision strategy guide explains the full method.
Live classes, offline classes and recorded batch
Offline classes run at the Saturna, Amravati campus in air-conditioned halls with a 200-plus seater study hall. Live classes stream the same lecture in real time for students across Maharashtra. The recorded batch allows self-paced study and unlimited revision of numerical-heavy topics.
